Patients will be advised to undergo follow-up diagnostic tests like X-rays and blood tests on the 15th day of treatment to rule out further complications. Medicines like iron and calcium tablets will be provided, if needed.
For seeking treatment, patients will have to show both their positive as well as negative Covid reports.
A senior health official said, “The clinic will exclusively treat those who have recovered from the novel coronavirus but still suffer from health problems like pneumonia, body ache, difficulty in breathing, persistent headache, nervousness, acidity and constipation. Such health issues often persist for several days even after a person tests negative for the infection.”
Apart from this, the post-Covid clinic will also be set up at the CHCs located in Dasna, Loni, Modinagar and Muradnagar.
Altogether, 15,932 Covid patients had been discharged in Ghaziabad till Monday. While, 1,198 patients are currently undergoing treatment in various hospitals or are in home isolation across the district.
